Rajasthanonweb: 12 Sep, 2017, On Monday, the government approved grant-in-aid under crop rotation during the ongoing agitation in Sikar over the debt waiver in Rajasthan.

This subsidy was sanctioned for 108 farmers whose crops had been damaged in 16 villages of Fagi. The government will now give compensation of thirteen lakh 42 thousand rupees.

District Collector and District Magistrate Siddharth Mahajan told that 108 farmers of 16 villages of Fagi tehsil have sanctioned 13 lakh 42 thousand rupees under the payment of agricultural exchange grant. District Collector said that the approval for withdrawal has been given from the budget amount received from the Disaster Management and Assistance Department, Rajasthan, for 108 farmers, who hold more than two hectares of 16 villages of Fagi tahsil.

It is notable that in the last four years, the loss of about 1.55 billion rupees has been estimated from the excessive rainfall in four districts of Rajasthan. The Disaster Relief Department has sent a memorandum of about Rs.1563 crores to the Central Government for help.
